IPCF Founder leads the team that establishes the first-ever robotic surgery program in Angola, Africa.

Landmark Achievement in Africa: First Robotic Surgery Program in Angola! Recently IPCF founder, Vipul Patel, M.D., was integral in the establishment of the first-ever robotic surgery program in Angola - a monumental achievement in advancing healthcare across Africa. This groundbreaking initiative, led by the Advent Health Global Robotics Institute team under the leadership of Dr. Vipul Patel, marks a significant step towards bringing cutting-edge medical technology to those who need it most.

A Collaborative Effort: This milestone was made possible through a strong partnership with the President of Angola and the Health Ministress. Together, we share a vision to expand robotic surgery technology to various regions across the country, ensuring that more patients can benefit from minimally invasive procedures.

Robotic Surgery Technology: Successful procedures used the robotics technology Microport MEDBOT.

Vipul Patel, M.D. is the founder and medical director of the Global Robotics Institute at AdventHealth Celebration, founder of the International Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Executive Director of the Society of Robotic Surgery.
