IPCF SPONSORSHIP: PROSTATE SMART — MEN’S HEALTH FORUM 2023
Sunday — April 16, 2023 the International Prostate Cancer Foundation, in partnership with the Global Robotics Institute team of AdventHealth, hosted the Prostate Smart: Men's Health Forum for patients and their supporters. This event drew over 175 in-person registrants and over 900 virtual viewers! It was an incredible opportunity to gather patients to connect and offer support on their prostate cancer journeys.
This Forum invited men and their supporters to participate in the discussion to improve men's prostate health. The program featured various speakers, along with Dr. Vipul Patel and other respected faculty professionals.
The event, in partnership with AdventHealth Global Robotics Institute, was held with efforts to promote research, educate men and encourage prostate cancer screening. A breakfast was served while patients, doctors and speakers could get to know each other and form community. Topics covered were men’s prostate healthcare maintenance, basic screening practices and advanced exercise and lifestyle practices for living after prostate cancer. In addition, participants were able to tour the Robotic Education Room at the AdventHealth Nicholson Center to get a full understanding on the prostate surgical process. IPCF Supporters Jim and CeCe Koons took the stage to share their experience with prostate cancer. Jim Koons is CEO of Jim Koons Automotive Companies. The Koons organization has over 1,700 employees and has been ranked as one of the largest dealership groups in the Nation for the past 25 years. Koons Automotive supports many worthy causes in addition to prostate cancer.

Overall the day was a great success! Participants walked away not only with new information but with these great promo items to help spread awareness and start the conversation!
